How The Ruth Clark Fuel Group Works
THE PROCESS:
The Ruth Clark Fuel Group (RCFG) is made up of our Group Members. We have enough Members to negotiate with the Fuel Companies that we work with and get the best prices we possibly can for our Group.
Our annual sign up begins in July. Every year we go to the negotiating table and work hard to obtain the best discounted prices that we can. Once the negotiation process is complete, you will receive our annual mailing with the new prices and registration information. Forms can also be downloaded from the "Current Pricing" tab. Once your registration is complete, those prices will be valid for each delivery and remain in effect until June 30th of the following year.
After June 30th, prices will revert back to the fuel companies' regular rates. To avoid getting a delivery after June 30 and before you're re-signed with the RCFG, make sure you have enough fuel to last a month or two BEFORE the end of June, until you are registered for the next season. You can call your fuel supplier to ask that they not deliver until you've signed with RCFG, but you must call your fuel company again after you have re-registered, to tell them you wish to go back on auto-delivery.
Then, come July, the annual cycle begins all over again. We go back to the table, negotiate the new season's prices and do our mailing.
HOW TO JOIN:
To join our Group, there is a short registration form to complete and mail back to us, along with the $50.00 membership fee. Once received, your data is entered on our Master Member list. We batch them and send them to your fuel company, who will flag your account as a RCFG Member, and will bill you at the Group rate until the end of June of the following year. An individual membership form and fee must be sent for each separate property.
If you are switching fuel companies and will be a NEW customer using propane to your chosen Fuel Co., they will do the required inspection, tank swap or install - free, as long as everything is up to code. If you are switching fuel companies, please contact your New Fuel Co. ASAP to complete any paperwork needed to become one of their customers. Once you are good to go, please contact your previous company to let them know that you have switched. If you are a gas customer, your previous supplier will need to pick up their tanks.
Things will remain normal as far as fuel deliveries and billing is concerned. Your fuel company will continue to do everything they have always done. It is the RCFG's job to negotiate very hard to get you discounted pricing. Once you've been processed, your FUEL CO. is your provider. They will continue to deliver fuel to you and continue to bill you. Absolutely nothing will change on that end, except that you'll be saving money by having utilized our Group! It will be your responsibility to contact your Fuel Company with any issues. It will be your responsibility to contact your fuel company first - concerning any problems. If you still cannot get the problem solved, feel free to contact me and I'll do everything I can to help.
- We pride ourselves with giving as much personal service as we can. If you have questions or concerns about joining us, a real person will talk with you. We work for our MEMBERS, because the Members are the Group.
